The Dashboard (Home): your "what matters now" screen
The Dashboard is the Home page you land on after logging in. It surfaces today's classes, tasks, events and study blocks, what's due over the next week, overdue alerts, and quick springboards into the planner, pathway and AI — without navigating away.
Where to find it
The Dashboard is Home at the top of the sidebar. It's also the page you land on right after logging in.
What it shows
The Dashboard is a scannable "what matters right now" screen rather than a wall of every feature. At the top you get a personal greeting ("Hi, [name]") with today's date, a quick status control, and a + Add button to create a task or event without leaving the page.
Below that, the page is organised into a main column and a side column of springboards.
### Alerts and nudges (only appear when relevant)
- Overdue — if you have tasks past their due date, a red banner appears at the top. Tap it to expand the list and complete, edit, share or delete each overdue task right there.
- Grades to add — if you've completed gradeable tasks without recording a grade, a banner offers a shortcut to the Grades page so Peernovo can learn your pace.
- Add your degree — if you skipped your degree during onboarding, a nudge invites you to add it.
### Today
A card showing everything happening today, in time order:
- Today's classes from your imported schedule (with times, room/location, and a badge if friends share the class). This is cycle-aware, so rotating multi-day timetables match the correct day.
- Tasks due today and events occurring today, each with quick row actions to mark done, share, edit or delete, plus a progress bar for tasks.
- Study blocks planned for today.
A link opens the full Calendar. If nothing is scheduled, it says so.
### This week
A lookahead card listing tasks and events due soon. Chips let you widen the window between 1 week, 2 weeks and 1 month — the heading updates to match. A View all link opens the Tasks page. Each item has the same row actions as Today.
### Quick-add tiles
Four coloured shortcut tiles below the lists: Add subject, Add task, Add event, and Study now — so it's clear what you can create.
Quick springboards (side column)
The right-hand column is a set of jump-off cards into deeper features:
- Ask AI — a widget to start a question with the AI assistant.
- Smart Study Planner — shows your next planned study blocks, or a prompt to build a study plan if you don't have one, plus a settings shortcut.
- Pathway — your degree/pathway nudge.
- Exam prep overview.
- Study invitations — invites to study together.
- Discover — a card that links out to explore degrees.
- Recommended university events — suggestions from the same engine as the class schedule page.
Tips
- Use the This week chips (1 week / 2 weeks / 1 month) to widen how far ahead you look.
- Tap any item to open it, or use the row icons to complete, edit, share or delete it in place.
- If the Dashboard looks empty under Today or This week, it just means nothing is scheduled yet — add a task with + Add, or import your class schedule so today's classes appear.
