主な業務
- 網などの漁具と機器を準備し、修理する
- 漁船を指揮・操船し、遠洋の漁場との行き来と漁場での操業を行う
- 漁場を決め、コンパス、海図、表などを使って針路を定め、船位を計算する
- 船を操舵し、航海計器や電子漁労機器を操作する
- 漁労作業を指揮し、乗組員の作業を監督する

- 餌をつけ、漁具を仕掛けて引き揚げる
