主な業務
- 小型の金属鋳物は作業台で、大型の鋳物は鋳造場の床やピットで、手作業や補助機械を使って鋳型を作る
- 金属の鋳型に使う中子を作る
- 鋳型や中子取りを清掃してなめらかにし、表面の欠陥を補修する
- クレーンを使って鋳型の部分、模型、底板などの加工品を移動・配置する、または他の作業員に移動の合図を送る
- 鋳型の部分の内側に模型を配置し、部分同士を締め付けて固定する
- 鋳型に湯口、湯道、注ぎ口を切り込む
- 上型を下型から持ち上げ、成形に使った模型を取り出す
