教員を補助するため授業以外の業務を行い、学校や幼稚園で子どもの世話と見守りを行う。
主な業務
- 学校や幼稚園で、子どもの身体的、社会的、情緒的、知的な発達を促す活動を実演し、見守り、参加する
- 学習やレクリエーション活動のため、屋内と屋外の場所を準備する
- 知的障害、身体障害、行動面などの学習上の困難がある子どもの勉強を手伝う
- 子どもが一人ひとり社会的なスキルを身につけるのを手伝う
- 教材の準備や、文書・印刷物のコピーと整理を手伝う
- 視聴覚機器、コンピューターなどの教具を操作する
- 授業の教材を配り、回収する
