How to become a Music School Teacher
Teaches the basics of music and instruments to people who want to learn to play the piano, violin, flute, guitar or other instruments themselves.

- Assessing each student's level of skill
- Teaching students how to read sheet music
- Teaching instrument technique so students play with the correct tempo and dynamics
- Playing pieces as a model for students
- Learning about the historical background, lyricists and composers of pieces and passing this on to students to help them understand the music
- Coaching students to play in keeping with the mood of a piece
- Advising students when they choose an instrument or its parts
- Teaching basic voice production and singing
- Setting students exercises and assessing them
- Teaching aural skills
- Running solfege (sight-singing) exercises to suit students' wishes
- Choosing the textbooks used for lessons
- Memorising the sheet music used for teaching
- Running eurhythmics (music and movement) classes for young children and parents with their children
