Assistant manufacturing engineer provides assistance to the industrial and production engineer and may lead a team of technicians. He/she applies engineering principles and techniques to optimise the production processes in a manufacturing environment. He/she analyses manufacturing issues, troubleshoots process deviations and also participates in production and manufacturing system improvement projects. He/she coordinates with customers, contractors, suppliers and consultants, to ensure that the products or work is performed to specification.

- Assisting in technical supervision of manufacture, utilisation, maintenance and repair of structures, machinery and equipment
