How to become an Auctioneer
Auctioneer conducts sales of various kinds of new or used property and goods, such as real estate, furniture, and objects d’art by accepting bids and declaring goods sold. He/she arranges the place and date of auction sale and the order in which items are to be sold.
Main tasks
- Negotiating contracts on behalf of sellers or buyers and explaining terms of sale and payment to clients
- Signing agreements on behalf of sellers or buyers and ensuring that contracts are honoured
- Selling by auction various kinds of property, cars, commodities, livestock, art, jewellery and other objects
