Official title: Bell captain
Also called: Bell attendant, Bellhop, Bell attendant
Bell captain coordinates all bell services such as luggage service and storage, message service and assigning work duties and schedules of bell staff. He/she communicates and interacts with guests, and attends to their enquiries and complaints effectively. He/she also oversees the grooming of bell staff and coaches them on their performance and all aspects of bell service.
Main tasks
- Carrying and delivering luggage at hotels, stations, airports, and elsewhere
- Receiving and marking baggage by completing and attaching claim checks
