How to become a clinical research professional
Official title: Clinical research professional
Clinical research professional plans, directs and coordinates clinical research projects. He/she directs the activities of workers engaged in clinical research projects to ensure compliance with protocols and overall clinical objectives. He/she may evaluate and analyse clinical data.
Main tasks
- Designing and conducting experiments and tests to discover new information to solve problems in areas such as the environment, agriculture and health, and to develop new products, processes and techniques for pharmaceutical, agricultural and environmental use
- Writing scientific papers and reports detailing research and new findings which are then made available to the scientific community in scientific journals or at conferences for scrutiny and further debate
- Assisting researchers in their conduct and implementation of clinical research projects
