Electronics engineer researches on, designs, develops and advises on electronic devices, equipment and systems and plans and supervises their development, construction, installation, operation, maintenance and repair, and checks completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards. He/she studies operating requirements for electronic equipment in fields such as telecommunications, acoustics, instrumentation and automatic control systems and also engages in research and development work. He/she designs electronic systems and equipment, prepares working drawings and specifications, and supervises technical aspects of manufacturing processes.
