Manufacturing engineering technician provides technical support and services in the development of production methods, facilities and systems, and the planning, estimating and scheduling of work. He/she develops tools, implements designs or integrates machinery, equipment or computer technologies for effective manufacturing processes and also sets up, tests and adjusts manufacturing machinery or equipment.
Main tasks
- Carrying out operational activities according to required work specification, quality and safety standards
- Reading/studying technical product documents, manufacturing specifications etc
- Performing routine maintenance on processes/equipment/plant facilities
- Identifying faults and troubleshooting production processes/machinery and equipment
