Precision optics technician performs optical processes in the manufacture of precision lenses and other optic elements. He/she reads and interprets lens specifications from blue prints and schematics, draws work orders, and selects premixed compounds according to formula. He/she also sets up, operates and maintains polishing equipment and performs manual and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) assisted grinding and polishing precision sphere lenses.
