Procurement engineer oversees the purchase of technical goods and services to support engineering projects and industrial operations. He/she translates projects’ technical and engineering requirements into specifications for materials, equipment and services to procure. He/she evaluates suppliers and negotiates purchase agreements with them, as well as maintaining vendor contract records and databases, and following up on vendors’ deliverables.
