Script writer/editor plans, writes and edits original stories for dramatisation on radio, television or films. He/she chooses a subject to write on and uses writing techniques to develop the plot and storyline such as creating suspense and complications of incidents and the final outcome. He/she edits finished material to ensure conformity with production requirements, company policy, national laws and local regulations. He/she may direct and coordinate work of writers preparing programmes, continuity and scripts for motion picture plays and television and radio broadcasts.
