Sustainability project development/management professional assesses and develops environmental projects, such as carbon credit and renewable energy projects for businesses to reduce emissions. In the upstream phase of the project, he/she assesses the viability of the project by conducting pre-feasibility studies and analysis, structures and seeks project financing, and registers the project under certification standards. Where suitable methodologies do not exist under these standards, he/she develops the appropriate frameworks and methodologies to credibly assess and develop the project. When the project is ongoing, he/she oversees the development and Implementation of the project and prepares project documentation and reports. He/she also ensures that the projects adhere to the latest regulatory procedures and achieves certification standards throughout the project lifecycle. He/she may also negotiate contracts with project owners.
