Aircraft maintenance technicians inspect, test and repair aircraft systems, engines and components.

Main tasks

• Inspect and test aircraft engines
• Replace engine parts or whole engines
• Inspect airframes and components including landing gear and hydraulic systems for water ingress, cracks, breaks, leaks and other problems
• Repair and rebuild aircraft structures and functional components such as wings, fuselage, rigging, hydraulic, oxygen, fuel and electrical systems, gaskets and seals
• Repair, adjust and test aircraft structures, mechanical and hydraulic systems
