Official title: Bailiff and Correctional Officers
Judicial police and correctional officers serve documents, carry out arrests, attend court and escort people in custody for courts and prosecutors' offices, or supervise, guard and keep order among inmates in prisons, detention centres, juvenile detention houses and juvenile reformatories.
Main tasks
- Manage workshops in correctional institutions such as prisons, detention centres, juvenile detention houses and reformatories; search inmates, supervise visits, escort inmates to outside medical care or home for funerals, and keep their valuables
- Regularly patrol cells and the institution's perimeter, check doors, windows and locks, and watch inmates' conduct during work, exercise and recreation to prevent incidents
- Arrest and escort offenders to courts, prisons, detention centres and similar places
