Building electricians lay out, install and repair electrical wiring systems and related equipment in buildings.

- Plan wiring diagrams and install wiring, equipment and fixtures to building codes and relevant standards
- Test electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards and defects, and make any necessary adjustments or repairs
