Child care workers care for children at home, before and after school, during holidays and in day care, and help teachers look after children in schools and kindergartens.
Main tasks
- Help children wash, dress and eat
- Take children to and from school or on outdoor activities
- Play with children, read to them and tell stories
- Observe and record children's activities
- Help prepare learning materials and operate audiovisual equipment, computers and other teaching aids
