Supervises and coordinates office work.
Main tasks
- Coordinate, assign and check clerical work such as word processing, record keeping and filing, answering and transferring calls, data entry, desktop publishing and other general and administrative tasks
- Set work schedules and procedures, and coordinate activities with other units or departments
- Solve work problems, and prepare and submit progress reports
- Train staff and brief them on job duties, safety procedures and company policy, and arrange training
- Take part in interviewing staff, assess their performance and make recommendations on personnel matters
