Painters, spray painters and related workers paint building surfaces and fittings, spray paint, lacquer or other protective coatings on vehicles, metal goods and other products, and hang wallpaper and wall fabric on interior walls and ceilings of buildings and ships.
Main tasks
- Clean surfaces of buildings, vehicles and other objects to prepare them for painting, spraying or papering
- Mix pigments and additives to adjust the colour of paints and coatings
- Paint surfaces of buildings, ship hulls, bridges, furniture and other metal structures
- Spray paint, varnish or other protective coatings on vehicles and other products using spray guns
- Hang wallpaper and wall fabric on interior walls and ceilings of buildings and ships
