How to become a Photographer

Uses cameras to photograph people, events, scenes and products.
Main tasks
- Take portraits and group photos, and photographs for advertising, other industries or science, for publication in newspapers, magazines and other media
- Study special requirements and decide the cameras, lighting and backdrops to use
- Decide the composition of shots and skilfully adjust equipment and subjects
- Scan photographs into computers, or edit images on a computer
- Use existing photographs to create new digital images for multimedia products

- Technical college: Technical and vocational college programme. Universities of science and technology and junior colleges run departments in related fields: audio-visual techniques and media production (0211); journalism and communication (0321). Departments in academic year 114 (2025-26): four-year technical bachelor's (四技) 5, two-year technical bachelor's (二技) 2, five-year junior college (五專) 1. Fields matched to the occupation by Peernovo.; Technician certificate: Photography. National technician skill test (技術士技能檢定) run by the Workforce Development Agency, trade 204 攝影.
