Statistical, finance and insurance clerks collect and compile statistical data, or handle transactions for insurance companies, securities firms, banks or other financial institutions.
Main tasks
- Collect and compile statistical data
- Calculate totals, averages, percentages and other detailed figures, and prepare reports
- Process insurance enrolments and cancellations, claims, policy changes and payments
- Calculate interest and stamp duty
- Keep records of bonds, shares and other securities bought and sold for clients or employers
