Transport and storage labourers carry out simple and routine manual work in transport and storage.
Main tasks
- Pack and move office or household goods, furniture, machinery and related items
- Load and unload goods from vans, trucks, ships and aircraft
- Connect hoses between shore pipelines and storage tanks on barges, tankers and other vessels to load and unload oil, LPG and other liquids
- Carry, sort and stack goods in warehouses and similar places
- Stack goods neatly on shelves and restock them as needed
- Drive non-motorised vehicles to carry, load and unload goods, or help passengers on and off and collect fares
