通常在自動化工程師的指導下執行技術任務，協助開發生產過程自動化的應用和系統。搭建、測試、監控和維護自動化生產系統中使用的電腦控制系統。編寫自動化機器的詳細設計規格，繪製用於製造的設計圖紙並進行設計評審。還與生產團隊聯絡，評估、排查和分析裝配問題，並提出改進方案。
