在藥劑師或其他衞生專業人員的指導下，承擔與調配藥品相關的各種工作。處理醫囑，製備無菌和非無菌製劑，進行藥物配製，並管理庫存、妥善儲存記錄和維持設施正常運作。
主要任務
- 在藥劑師的指導下配製藥物及其他藥物製劑
- 按照醫生、獸醫或其他獲授權人員的處方，為客户配發藥品，並以書面和口頭方式説明用法
- 接收衞生專業人員的處方或續藥申請，並核實資料完整準確
- 維持藥品的妥善儲存和安全條件
- 將處方藥裝入容器並貼上標籤
- 協助客户，解答問題、查找物品，或將客户轉介給藥劑師瞭解藥物資料
- 為已配好的處方定價和歸檔，建立和維護病人記錄，包括個別病人的用藥清單
- 訂購藥品、化學品和用品，貼標籤和清點庫存，並將庫存數據錄入記錄系統
