- Reading bamboo and rattan product designs, planning processing steps and preparing machines and tools
- Treating rattan and bamboo by machine or by hand and weaving rattan panels, rattan and bamboo mats, baskets and other goods and crafts
- Treating bamboo, rattan, grass, hemp, palm fibre and other materials by machine or by hand and combining them with iron, ceramics, glass, silver and other materials to wrap and weave goods and crafts
- Treating straw and grass by machine or by hand and weaving rope, bags, blinds, sheets and mats
- Extracting hemp fibre by machine or by hand and making hemp thread, rope and sacks
- Treating palm fibre by machine or by hand to make sheets, strands and rope and then palm fibre bed bases and other goods and crafts
