Finishes cast iron pipe with zinc spraying, rounding, cutting, grinding, lining and coating equipment.
Main tasks
- Spraying zinc on the outside of pipes
- Correcting the roundness of spigot ends
- Cutting off defects and test rings and chamfering ends
- Shot blasting or grinding to remove stuck iron, sand and burrs
- Checking for leaks with hydrostatic test presses
- Mixing cement mortar, lining pipes and curing the lining
- Grinding linings and shot blasting surfaces
- Spraying anti corrosion coatings
- Bundling pipes
- Maintaining equipment, clearing faults and keeping production records
