Works in the people's courts at every level, helping judges with their trial work.
Main tasks
- Enforcing judgments and rulings in civil cases, and the parts of criminal judgments and rulings that concern property
- Reviewing case papers under a judge's guidance, organising the exchange of evidence before hearings, meeting people involved in cases, preparing reference material, helping with mediation and drafting legal documents
- Taking the record during hearings and sorting, binding and filing case files
- Keeping order in court, escorting and guarding people, carrying out death sentences, helping enforce civil and administrative cases, and helping keep the court safe and orderly
- Giving expert views on technical evidence such as forensic reports, test reports, inspection records and medical or accounting records, to support trials and enforcement
