Official Chinese title (2022 occupational classification): 报关人员
Handles customs declarations, duties, inspection and quarantine for goods and items entering and leaving the country.
Main tasks
- Declaring goods' tariff codes, dutiable values and other information, filling in customs declarations and submitting supporting documents
- Applying for duty payments, refunds, back payments, reductions and exemptions
- Handling processing trade manuals and accounts, such as registration, changes and closing off, onward processing transfers and outsourced processing, and bonded supervision
- Helping customs with inspection, sampling, inspection and quarantine, assessment and clearance of goods
- Giving companies planning and advice on import and export compliance and supply chain security
- Handling declarations, duties and inspection and quarantine for items entering and leaving the country on behalf of clients
- Handling other customs matters that customs declaration businesses are responsible for
