Assembles and tests specialist equipment for making and testing electronic products with wire bonders, vacuum coaters and other equipment, tools and instruments.
Main tasks
- Assembling and adjusting the hydraulic, vacuum, pneumatic and optical systems of electronics manufacturing equipment, using vacuum coaters and other equipment and instruments
- Assembling and adjusting automatic or semi automatic electronics manufacturing equipment (using sintering furnaces and other equipment), then running load or process trials
- Assembling and adjusting computer controlled electronics manufacturing equipment (using electronic pattern printing equipment and other equipment), then running load or process trials
- Bonding and repairing workpieces made of solid materials with adhesives
- Installing electronics manufacturing equipment, usually with wire bonders and other equipment and instruments
- Making electrical connections with packaging and other tools
- Adjusting equipment with tools and test instruments and running load or process trials
