Gives legal services to clients under the law, when engaged by them or assigned to them.
Main tasks
- Acting as legal adviser to individuals, businesses and other organisations that engage them
- Representing parties to civil and administrative cases in court
- Defending suspects and accused people in criminal cases when engaged by them or assigned by a legal aid body, or representing private prosecutors, victims or their close relatives
- Representing clients in appeals and petitions of all kinds
- Taking part in mediation and arbitration for clients
- Giving clients legal services outside court cases
- Answering legal questions and drafting court papers and other legal documents
