Uses skidding, loading and transport machinery to bind logs, hook them up, clear obstacles and haul timber out.

- Binding logs and hooking them up before hauling
- Keeping logs within the skid trail and protecting seed trees and young trees
- Driving skidder tractors to haul logs
- Maintaining tractors and winches
- Hauling logs by winch and adjusting the direction and angle of hauling
