Uses tooling such as hydraulic presses and assembly lines, equipment such as vehicle test lines and a range of tools to assemble motorcycle parts and find and fix faults.
Main tasks
- Assembling vehicle parts, using tooling such as hydraulic presses and specialist equipment and tools
- Assembling the complete motorcycle with assembly lines, hydraulic presses, nail guns, strapping machines and so on
- Assembling engine parts, using tooling such as hydraulic presses and equipment and tools
- Assembling complete engines with assembly lines, hydraulic presses and so on
- Finding faults in the complete motorcycle with vehicle test lines, headlight testers, exhaust gas analysers, multimeters and so on
- Replacing faulty parts on the motorcycle with tools to complete repairs
- Running first tests and running in complete engines on the engine test bench
- Finding engine faults with multimeters, exhaust gas analysers, balancing testers, seal testers, leak testers and flow testers
- Replacing faulty engine parts with tools to complete repairs
- Maintaining equipment, tooling and tools
