Also called: Gathering Operator, Oilfield Water Treatment Operator, Oil Pipeline Operator, Gas Pipeline Operator, Oil Products Loading Operator
Operates oil and gas treatment and transport equipment to gather, treat, store, test, meter and transport crude oil and natural gas.
Main tasks
- Gathering, metering and storing oil and gas from well sites, separating oil and gas and heating it before sending it on
- Removing oil from and filtering produced water and sending it to injection stations
- Receiving, storing and moving crude and refined products with tanks, manifolds, heat exchangers and pumps
- Testing crude density and water content and metering and handing over custody
- Metering natural gas and light hydrocarbons and moving them by pipeline
- Metering refined products and hydrocarbon products
- Loading and unloading oil products for rail, road and water transport
