Also called: Drug Synthesis Reaction Operator, Drug Separation and Purification Operator, API Refining and Drying Operator
Produces active pharmaceutical ingredients and pharmaceutical intermediates through chemical reactions, separation and purification.
Main tasks
- Getting ready before production
- Preparing the solutions needed and measuring raw materials, intermediates and products
- Carrying out synthesis reactions at set temperature, pressure, pH, time and stirring speed
- Separating solids from liquids with centrifuges and filter presses
- Extracting medicinal ingredients by solvent extraction, membrane filtration, ion exchange, chromatography and other methods
- Concentrating liquids that contain the active ingredient
- Purifying drugs by crystallisation, sublimation, distillation and other methods
- Drying, milling and sizing drug substances
- Cleaning the production area and filling in operating records
