Main tasks
- Setting and minding automatic binding and finishing equipment and varnishing, laminating and cutting printed products, materials or books with varnishing, laminating and cutting equipment
- Folding, binding, sewing and gathering by hand and machine, binding hardback and paperback books and finishing covers
- Writing automatic cutting programs and running guillotines to cut and trim
- Inserting printed items into newspapers, magazines and envelopes by system or by hand
- Embossing, foil stamping, die cutting and creasing printed products with embossing, foiling and die cutting equipment
- Finishing and forming printed products with packaging or forming systems
- Finishing printed products by machine or by hand
- Checking product quality and working out whether problems come from prepress, press or finishing
