- Developing and designing traction power systems and safe operating processes, and giving technical support for equipment manufacture, installation and construction

- Directing traction power dispatching, drawing up power equipment maintenance plans and organising emergency and planned repairs
- Setting technical standards, specifications and procedures for railway power supply
