Plans and runs passenger transport and organises ticketing, security checks, waiting and boarding at railway stations.
Main tasks
- Drawing up and adjusting daily passenger plans and allocating ticket quotas
- Studying passenger flows and suggesting extra carriages or adding or cancelling trains
- Selling, changing and refunding tickets, including by phone and online
- Organising passengers into the station, waiting areas and on and off trains, and checking and selling tickets
- Checking passengers for prohibited items and dealing with people travelling against the rules
- Keeping waiting rooms, platforms and tracks clean
- Receiving and dispatching trains, filling them with water and handling handovers between station and train
- Handling passenger enquiries, complaints and incidents
