Prepares spinning solutions for viscose, acrylic, spandex and other fibres using dope making, ageing and xanthation equipment.
Main tasks
- Mixing, batching and charging materials
- Degrading alkali cellulose in ageing and xanthation machines and making it into spinning solution
- Washing polyvinyl alcohol
- Dissolving and filtering spinning materials
- Removing air bubbles from the dope
- Mixing delustrants
- Keeping an eye on equipment and the process, clearing production faults and filling in records
- Recovering waste material and liquids
