Official Chinese title (2022 occupational classification): 变压器互感器制造工
Also called: Transformer Assembler, Instrument Transformer Assembler, Transformer Core Stacker, Transformer Coil Maker, Transformer Insulation Assembler, Transformer Tester
Uses equipment and tooling to make and assemble the cores, coils and insulation of transformers and instrument transformers, then fits the core and coils together, welds the leads and carries out final assembly.
Main tasks
- Setting up and adjusting assembly benches, frames and tooling
- Cutting and punching core sheets for power transformers and reactors with specialist equipment
- Stacking or winding cores with specialist equipment, tools and tooling, assembling, annealing, impregnating and finishing them, and repairing faulty part made or finished cores
- Winding coils with equipment and tooling, pressing and finishing them and vacuum drying them
- Fitting coils, assembling the core and coil unit and leads, and completing final assembly with equipment, tooling and tools
- Checking assembly quality and electrical performance with instruments and fixing faults
- Maintaining equipment, jigs and gauges and fixing faults
