Handles project management and equipment operation and maintenance in city utility tunnels that carry power, telecoms, water and drainage lines together.
Main tasks
- Carrying out routine inspections of the city services in the tunnel, including telecoms cables, power cables, steam pipes, water mains and gas pipes, and dealing with emergencies
- Supervising construction work on services in the tunnel
- Looking after the environment inside the tunnel
- Managing the tunnel structure and work safety
- Inspecting, patrolling and maintaining the tunnel structure, monitoring settlement and testing the concrete
- Running and maintaining equipment in the tunnel
