Handles goods in and out of the warehouse, keeps them safe and manages stock records.
Main tasks
- Checking and controlling the quantity and quality of goods in and out and managing work on the floor
- Assigning storage locations and entering receipts, issue slips, stock cards and location numbers
- Doing stocktakes and reporting surplus, slow moving, damaged or spoiled goods to the inventory team and following up
- Helping carry out distribution plans, issuing goods against release documents, checking them and signing release notes
- Checking and maintaining storage facilities and the warehouse environment to keep goods safe
- Managing stock with information systems
