Uses tools and equipment to repair and maintain port and wharf facilities and the structures of hydropower stations.
Main tasks
- Strengthening and repairing port and wharf facilities and waterside structures, and replacing and fitting fenders
- Running oil skimming equipment to clean oil off the water at oil terminals
- Preventing and clearing dust from loading and unloading coal and other cargo with dry or wet dust control equipment
- Maintaining and repairing the surfaces of hydropower station structures and their water seals, drainage and monitoring equipment
- Inspecting hydropower structures in the flood season, repairing drainage and fixing defects that could affect flood safety
- Dealing with sudden seepage, clearing pipes and silt, and clearing weeds and trees
- Maintaining everyday equipment and tools
