How to become an Advertising Sales Representative

Plans advertising at an advertising company, pitches it to advertisers and manages each job from winning the order through planning and running it to collecting payment.
Main tasks
- Gathering information on potential clients' current advertising and future promotion plans
- Gathering and understanding information on the products or services to be advertised
- Planning advertising and preparing proposals and samples

- Proposing advertising campaigns to advertisers and presenting them
- Preparing promotion plans, sales materials and sales contracts on a computer
- Meeting advertisers and colleagues to produce and run advertising

- Writing advertising briefs and passing them to the production team
- Proofreading advertising content
- Calculating the cost of each piece of work
- Invoicing production costs after delivery and collecting payment
