Does all kinds of work at an amusement park, such as running and maintaining rides and equipment, guiding visitors, selling and cleaning.
Main tasks
- Selling and checking tickets
- Selling toys, food and drinks to visitors
- Giving information about what the park's facilities and rides are and where they are
- Answering visitors' questions and giving directions
- Telling visitors about the park's rides and explaining them
- Explaining to visitors how to use arcade games
- Helping visitors on and off rides and checking safety equipment
- Inspecting, repairing, adjusting and refuelling sports and leisure equipment, games and rides
- Keeping order in the park by watching visitors and dealing with any problems
- Giving first aid and care to visitors who are injured or unwell
- Looking after lost children, making announcements and keeping lost property
- Cleaning park facilities, toilets and grounds and collecting rubbish
- Guiding, running and helping with events and shows in the park
- Wearing a costume character suit to greet visitors
