How to become a Securities Analyst
Gathers information about companies and industries at securities firms and other financial institutions, analyses and evaluates whether they are worth investing in, and advises and serves clients.

How to become one
No particular qualification is required to start, but people usually join a securities company, bank or insurance company after university, gain experience in a range of jobs and become securities analysts according to their aptitude. Related qualifications include the private Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan (CMA). You need to keep learning about investment theories and techniques and the new financial products that keep appearing, master them, use them in your analysis and give clients good service. Sharpening your ability to explain specialist analysis clearly and accurately to clients is also important.
