Official title: Government tax/excise official

Government tax/excise official examines tax returns, bills of sale and other relevant documents to determine type and amount of taxes, duties and other types of fees to be paid. He/she implements policy to facilitate timely payment of tax by individuals and organisations. He/she also provides information and guidance concerning taxation legislation. He/she examines financial records to investigate fraud.

- Performing related investigative and administrative tasks to record findings, document compliance problems or inappropriate business practices and to prepare reports and correspondence
