ICT product manager manages the entire product line life cycle, from strategic planning to tactical activities. He/she supports product positioning and customer demand, and guides product development from conception to launch. He/she evaluates product functionalities and performance and proposes enhancements to products based on market feedback. He/she researches and analyses potential partner relationships for the product and generates ideas to grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.
Main tasks
- Consulting with users to formulate and document requirements and with management to ensure agreement on systems principles
- Identifying and evaluating inefficiencies and recommending optimal business practices, and system functionality and behaviour
- Developing functional specifications for use by systems developers
- Expanding or modifying systems to improve work flow or serve new purposes
