Official title: Authors and Related Writers
Writes literature and edits books and periodicals, and writes scripts, music, literary and dramatic works, manuals and other non-news writing.
Main tasks
- Write or edit novels, essays, poetry and other works for publication
- Write scripts, screenplays and narration for film, television, radio and stage productions and programmes
- Write manuals and similar documents explaining how to install, operate and maintain software, electronic, mechanical and other equipment
